The Kua Family

It is always an honour (and a good dose of nerves to be honest) to be asked to photograph a friend’s family.  My beautiful friend Leah and her family escaped for a few days into the mountains in this beautiful home that would become a home away from home in the years that followed.

This session (along with Part One featured here)  is a memorable one. It is the first session I trusted myself to leave the digital camera at home and came equipped to shoot film and only film.  Thankful for the trust extended to do this, and for how much it would make me see my work differently and keep gravitating back towards this intangible feeling that has now become more familiar but never less magical.  Hope you love it as much as I do.

Photographed on Portra 400H, Contax 645 and Canon A1.
